There are many extensions to this basic description of cover for village hall insurance and a full summary and policy wording will be provided on request.

An excess of £100 applies to all claims except those for loss of money and subsidence. The money excess is £50 and the subsidence excess £1,000. This means that the village hall committee cannot claim for the first amount of any loss.

Trustees Indemnity insurance can usually be included at a small additional cost. This cover is designed to protect village hall trustees against damages and legal costs which arise from a “wrongful act” committed by a trustee, such as a breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of warranty.
