Martyn Ingram

Martyn is Managing Director of the company. He joined the insurance industry in 1974 and has worked in both Personal Lines and Commercial broking. He qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1987 and is Principal Examiner for certain examinations.

Liz Neilson

Liz started working in the Insurance Industry in 1990. The main part of her work has been in the area of Commercial Underwriting. She has been with Norris & Fisher since 2002 and was appointed Office Manager in 2003. Liz is progressing through the examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Lorraine Loxton-Gear

Lorraine worked for Commercial Union for several years in Portsmouth and Southampton. Her main area of work concentrated on Commercial Underwriting as well as working in the New Business department. She left the insurance industry in 1994 to become a nurse and decided to returned to insurance with Norris & Fisher in 2003.

Rita Morrissey

Rita has worked in the insurance industry for many years. Her first job was in an insurance brokers in Eastleigh where Martyn Ingram was a director. Since then she has worked for a number of other brokers and for Royal & Sun Alliance. She joined Norris & Fisher in September 2007.

Lisa Fry

Lisa has worked in the insurance industry since 2006 and she joined us in the summer of 2010. She originally dealt with motor and household insurance but she is now concentrating on gaining more experience in the commercial area. Lisa is studying for the Chartered Insurance Industry qualifications.

Tom Ingram

Tom joined Norris & Fisher in 2007 from Zurich Insurance, where he dealt with motor insurance enquiries. He had previously achieved a Batchelor of Arts degree at Swansea University. Tom specialises in Village Hall insurance.

Mike Lawford

Mike has been a consultant with his own business in the insurance industry for over 30 years and has advised many charities and voluntary organisations – including Village and Community Halls – about their needs during this time. Mike amalgamated his business with that of Norris & Fisher in 2005 and is now representing us to continue this work.

Jade Roberts

Jade joined Norris & Fisher in 2011 having previously been at university and she has been undergoing training in the various classes of insurance we deal with at Norris & Fisher. She is studying for the insurance examinations in order to qualify for the Certificate in Insurance.

Norris and Fisher (Insurance Brokers) Ltd were established in Christchurch in 1988 by John Norris and Mike Fisher. John and Mike concentrated on life and pensions business but were joined in 1997 by Martyn Ingram with a view to expanding their commercial insurance portfolio.

In 1999 the commercial insurance division split from the Christchurch office and was established in Romsey as a separate company. There have been two subsequent moves to larger offices.

There are still close links between the Christchurch and the Romsey offices.
